Informações claras sobre os fluxos de financiamento climático nos níveis global e nacional são cruciais para manter a dinâmica do Acordo de Paris. Sem esses dados, é difícil identificar lacunas, medir o progresso e otimizar a implantação de recursos públicos e privados para tornar o financiamento consistente com os objetivos climáticos.
O Cenário Global de Financiamento do Clima do CPI fornece a visão geral mais abrangente de quais fontes e instrumentos financeiros estão impulsionando o investimento e quanto o financiamento do clima está fluindo globalmente e para quais setores. Nossa robusta metodologia de Paisagem também foi aplicada em nível nacional em 22 países, incluindo o início do trabalho com os governos da Índia, Indonésia, Brasil, Quênia e África do Sul para complementar suas estratégias de financiamento do NDC. Além disso, nossa metodologia foi usada para análise em setores críticos que precisam de mais financiamento, incluindo uso do solo, adaptação, acesso à energia e financiamento de energia renovável.
Nosso trabalho, supervisionado pelo Climate-Aligned Finance Tracking Group, influenciou o Acordo de Paris e continua a ser usado pela UNFCCC e pelo Clube Internacional de Financiamento do Desenvolvimento nas discussões sobre políticas.
