Gaoyi Miao is a Junior Analyst at CPI, based in London. She is working under the Tracking workstream, with a primary focus on the Global Landscape of Climate Finance, International Development Finance Club (IDFC) Green Finance Mapping, and Capacity projects.

Prior to CPI, Gaoyi garnered invaluable experience interning at the Swiss Lab for Sustainable Finance, Brookings Institution, Trivium China, and UNFCCC, gaining expertise in climate policy, international climate negotiation, carbon markets, and development finance. As a graduate consultant with the World Bank Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (We-Fi), she was instrumental in advancing sex-disaggregated data collection in finance sectors within Jordan and Vietnam.

She holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (UCASS) and an MA in International Relations and International Economics from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University.
