Parag Puri is an Analyst at CPI, based in Delhi, India. His work focuses on green and sustainable finance, climate and nature-related financial risks, and climate technologies. With over 2 years of experience in academic and professional research capacities, his contributions span projects related to ESG reporting and analysis, clean-tech innovation, inclusive innovation, and sustainable agri-food systems.

Prior to his role at CPI, Parag worked as a Research Associate (Inclusive Innovation Research Cluster) at the Institute for Science, Society, and Policy (ISSP), particularly in engaging stakeholders and conducting ESG/sustainability materiality of an innovation system. There he also co-authored a book chapter on “Inclusive innovation: towards a theory of inclusiveness transitions”. Additionally, he has also worked as a Research Assistant at the Telfer School of Management on projects such as the Climate Technology Adoption Framework Study, One Planet Living (OPL) Framework, and Inclusive Innovation in the Canadian Agri-food System.

Parag holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Delhi Technological University (formerly Delhi College of Engineering), and a master’s degree in Management (Specialization in Environmental Sustainability) from the University of Ottawa, which equips him a multidisciplinary problem-solving approach. He also holds a CFA Institute’s Investment Foundation Program (IFP) certification and a GARP Institute’s Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) certification.
