Claris Parenti is a Junior Analyst at CPI, based in London. In her role, she works across the organisation as part of CPI’s Tracking workstream and provides support to CPI’s work on agrifood systems within the ClimateShot Investor Coalition (CLIC) programme.

Before joining CPI, she was working as a Conservation Finance Analyst in an investments think-tank for nature-based solutions, with a focus on quantifying environmental risks and creating blended finance mechanisms for cloud forest conservation in Latin America.

Claris holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and an MSc in Global Business & Sustainability from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. At Imperial, she specialised in Environmental Assessment & Management, conducting her thesis in partnership with the Energy Transition Council on modelling the impact of climate change and extreme drought on the Brazilian energy system. The results were used to critically analyse the compatibility of Brazil’s 2050 energy plan with Paris Agreement commitments and translated into a policy brief ahead of COP28.
