Yihan Wang is a Senior Program Associate at Climate Policy Initiative. Prior to joining CPI, Yihan worked as a Portfolio Manager at The Nature Conservancy NatureVest team, where she managed and monitored the performance of the organization’s portfolio of closed impact investment transactions.
Yihan also gained extensive experience in the field of economic development as a Business Development Manager for the City of Detroit and the U.S. Virgin Islands, attracting large-scale sustainable investments to create high-quality jobs for local communities, diversifying the economy. Yihan Wang has worked in several developing countries such as Nepal, Costa Rica, Indonesia, Peru, and China. She collaborated with local indigenous communities to design and implement conservation and economic development projects.
Yihan holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Policy from the University of Michigan and two Bachelor of Arts degrees from both George Mason University and the Beijing Language and Culture University.
