Soren Vines is a Data Analyst at Climate Policy Initiative (CPI), where he contributes to the Global Landscape of Climate Finance. His work focuses on developing analytical tools and data workflows to support the collection, extraction, classification, and analysis of climate finance information.

Before joining CPI, Soren was a Senior Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) Analyst at AlliedOffsets, where he developed a comprehensive research database and produced market intelligence on emerging carbon removal technologies, investment trends, and industry developments. His research covered direct air capture, biochar, and the wider carbon removal market, supporting leading financial institutions and consultancies. Previously, he worked in strategy and operations at Demeter Holdings, where he helped secure USD 350,000 in grant funding for AI-enabled agricultural methane monitoring research.

Beyond his analytical work, Soren previously served as Secretary of the Future Leaders Network for Greenhouse Gas Removals, where he helped expand the network and foster collaboration between researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals. He also co-founded Minazi Consulting, supporting social impact projects across multiple countries. In 2021, he received The Diana Award, recognising his contributions to social action and humanitarian work.

Soren holds an MSci in Geophysics from Imperial College London.
