Combatting Deforestation Portfolio

CPI/PUC-Rio has a research agenda dedicated to improving the fight against deforestation and strengthening forest conservation and sustainable development. The research highlights that it is possible to align forest preservation and economic growth.

This agenda analyzes the impact of public policies and monitoring and inspection initiatives and command and control efforts, making recommendations for priority actions that can contribute to the formulation of more efficient public policies in Brazil. CPI/PUC-Rio stresses that it is essential to prioritize forest degradation in public policies aimed at the conservation and sustainable development of the forest.
