Rio de Janeiro—The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture has established a new working group to support Minister of Agriculture Kátia Abreu in drafting the Multiannual Law of the Brazilian Agricultural Production (LPAB). The LPAB will establish the strategic direction for agricultural policy, focusing on financing, insurance, and price support.

Juliano Assunção, Director of CPI’s Brazil program, will serve on the working group alongside Secretary of Agricultural Policy, André Nassar, former minister Antonio Delfim Neto and economists and agronomists Antônio Salazar Brandão, Cláudio Adilson Gonzales, Eliseu Alves, and Elísio Contini.
