Mary Xiong is an Operations Associate at Climate Policy Initiative, based in Washington, D.C. Mary oversees operations in the San Francisco and Washington, D.C. offices. Drawing over 7 years of experience in office management, administrative support, and event planning, she ensures the smooth functioning of operations while providing crucial support to advance CPI’s mission.

Before joining CPI, Mary’s career showcased impactful roles across diverse sectors and non-profits. From championing student well-being initiatives to delivering exceptional operational and administrative services at Aetna, Mary consistently demonstrated her ability to drive positive change. In administrative and office roles, she adeptly managed tasks, maintained meticulous records, and fostered inclusive communities. As a Cultural Program Specialist, she organized events celebrating diversity and multiculturalism while promoting equitable opportunities for all. Additionally, as a lifelong learner, she ensured equitable access to academic support by serving students in underserved districts as an academic tutor.

Mary currently holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Sciences from the University of California, Irvine (Go Anteaters!) and currently pursuing a Master of Public Health at George Washington University, where she is actively advancing her knowledge and understanding of sustainability and resilience.
