Anitta Banjwa is a Senior Communications Associate at Climate Policy Initiative, based in Cape Town, where she leads communications for various programs in the effectiveness workstream: Net Zero Finance Tracker, the Climate Reform Compass and Green Guarantees. As the communications lead, Anitta manages the communications portfolio across the programs’ research, events, and partners and overall publicity.

Anitta’s experience spans across research and communications for various sectors including FMCG, fintech and banking (Nedbank, Absa) where she specialized in leading strategic content creation and research deliverables for complex digital ecosystems. Her key strength is leveraging rigorous data analysis to extract critical insights, meticulously translating them into high-impact, cohesive communications that drive strategic objectives across all channels.

Anitta holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Anthropology from Rhodes University and a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Development Studies from the University of South Africa.
