Norman is an accomplished finance professional with a career in the private and development sectors. As the Philippines Program Lead for the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance, Norman has taken on a pioneering role in establishing The Lab program in the country in close collaboration with the Lab’s Global team. He also contributes significantly to evaluating and selecting project ideas in the Philippines and Asia-Pacific region.

Norman brings extensive experience in sustainable finance and environmental and social safeguards, gained through consulting projects for notable organizations such as the International Climate Initiative and Global Fund for Coral Reefs through RARE; UNDP and the European Commission through New Frontier Services, a Brussels-based consulting firm; IFC-World Bank, and Asian Development Bank. This diverse background equips Norman with a deep understanding of the critical elements necessary for successful climate finance projects.

Norman’s career trajectory also includes a role as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Association of Development Finance Institutions (ADFIAP), where he actively promoted capacity development on sustainable finance for the organization’s network of 90 financial institutions in the Asia-Pacific region. Before transitioning to the development sector, Norman worked in strategy and financial management positions for corporations in the US, Japan, and the Philippines.

Norman holds a master’s in Business Management from the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of the Philippines (UP).
