Jyoti Sharma is a Senior Climate Finance Analyst at Climate Policy Initiative (CPI), based in San Francisco. She contributes to CPI’s work on international financial architecture reform and the Finance in Common Innovation Lab, with a focus on scaling climate finance in emerging markets and developing economies. Jyoti leads the design and delivery of the Climate Finance Reform Compass, a tool to support reform dialogue and accountability for scaling climate finance.
Prior to joining CPI, Jyoti served as Joint Director in the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, where she led work on the G20 International Financial Architecture agenda and reforms of multilateral development banks (MDBs). She previously held roles at the Ministry of Power, where she focused on energy efficiency, and at the World Bank and the United Nations Environment Programme, where she worked on climate finance and natural capital accounting.
Jyoti holds a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, where she was a Public Service Fellow. She also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in International Environmental Law from the Indian Society of International Law and a Master’s in Economics from Himachal Pradesh University
