Wen E Chin is a Manager at CPI, based in London. She is part of the ClimateShot Investor Coalition (CLIC) team, and manages the Agrifood Investment Connector (the Connector).

Wen E engages climate finance investors and connects them to high-quality climate and nature-positive agrifood businesses in developing countries. As part of the process to facilitate investment decisions, she leads the team with the support of external experts in providing SMEs with technical assistance on the assessment of climate and nature risks and impacts in preparation for investor pitching and due diligence.

Wen E started her career with UBS Wealth Management in Singapore where she was a lending product specialist until she moved to Beijing, China where she advised the regional and domestic management team on the onshore business and implementation strategy. In her last project, she managed the global transition from LIBOR to alternative reference rates. She left UBS after 11 years to pursue her mission of facilitating the deployment of capital to areas of impact. She moved to Cape Town, South Africa and joined the investment team of Launch Africa Ventures, the most active early-stage VC on the continent (invested in over 120 start-ups in 22 countries) providing seed to series A funding to support innovative founders with scalable solutions to meaningful problems.

She obtained her MBA at IE Business School, Madrid, specializing in finance and sustainability. In addition, she holds the certificates in ESG investing from the CFA institute and IMM for SDGs from Duke University.
