Sajal Jain is a Senior Analyst at CPI India, where she focuses on climate finance, climate change adaptation, and public expenditure analysis. With experience supporting national-level climate planning and public finance systems, her interests span adaptation finance, climate budgeting, resilience planning, and policy-oriented research that enables public and private investment in climate action.

Prior to joining CPI, Sajal worked at the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER), where she contributed extensively to climate expenditure tracking, adaptation finance assessments, and analytical work supporting government stakeholders on climate planning and resource mobilization. She also worked on employment and skills in the clean energy sector, leading data-driven research and methodology development to assess India’s energy efficiency employment landscape.

Sajal holds a master’s degree in economics and financial economics from the University of Warwick and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Delhi.
