Kanika is a Senior Analyst at Climate Policy Initiative (CPI), based in London, and a member of the ClimateShot Investor Coalition (CLIC). In her role, she leads the development and scaling of CLIC’s climate and nature impact assessment (IA) work under the Agrifood Investment Connector, strengthening how SMEs evidence and communicate climate and nature impacts to investors.
Kanika brings over a decade of experience at the intersection of sustainability, technology for good, and international development, with a strong focus on partnerships, impact measurement, and implementation globally. Prior to joining CPI, she served as Senior Partnerships Manager at the Fairtrade Foundation, where she worked with multinational companies to advance responsible business practices and measurable social and environmental impact.
Previously, Kanika was an Impact Lead at the Open Data Institute in London, where she led impact strategy across data and AI programmes and managed multi-million-dollar philanthropic portfolios supported by the UK Government, McGovern Foundation, Humanity United, and Omidyar Network. Her work included large-scale initiatives on workers’ rights and public health. She has also held a Partnerships Director role at Includovate, a social enterprise operating across Africa and Asia with partners such as UNICEF, CARE, and the Government of Ethiopia.
Earlier in her career, Kanika worked on SME-focused research and impact programmes with IFMR Lead and TechnoServe, focusing on women’s entrepreneurship,digital inclusion, financial inclusion, and food security in India and Kenya. She has experience designing and managing qualitative and quantitative research working with rural and peri-urban communities on projects funded by USAID, Gates Foundation, and Government of India. Alongside her roles, she is passionate about the philanthropy sector, advising charities focused on gender, and is an active speaker on AI ethics for Global South.
