Ashley Champion is a Junior Analyst at CPI, based in Cape Town, where she contributes to research on global and regional climate finance flows and the policy and institutional factors shaping climate investment.

Prior to joining CPI, Ashley worked across sustainability and climate change consulting, with experience spanning climate resilience, sustainable development and the built environment. As a Sustainability Consultant, she worked on a range of projects to assess and improve environmental performance, including green building certification, energy and water efficiency, sustainability assessments and climate-related analysis. She also gained experience in climate change consulting, contributing to work exploring climate risks, adaptation and sustainability challenges.

She holds an MSc in Sustainability and Behaviour Change from Liverpool John Moores University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the Namibia University of Science and Technology.
