Alwi is a Junior Analyst in the Energy & Technology team at CPI Indonesia, working on the Coal 2 Green project. The work focuses on developing pathways to phase out coal from the energy mix and enable innovative and sustainable alternatives such as wind energy, solar PV, and battery energy storage, and on supporting industrial decarbonization as part of Indonesia’s energy transition. Alwi contributes expertise in energy modeling for renewable energy systems.

Before joining CPI, Alwi worked for three years in Indonesia’s solar industry. Alwi has broad experience, from supervising on-site execution of solar PV installations to leading technical design and feasibility work for solar and hybrid solar, diesel and battery projects. Alwi also worked as a project-based Renewable Energy Analyst at NRGi in Copenhagen, carrying out techno-economic assessments of hybrid solar PV, wind energy and battery plants, building on an optimization model for plant sizing and dispatch in Denmark’s DK1 market.

Alwi holds an M.Sc. in Sustainable Energy Systems from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember.
