Climate Policy Initiative, along with key players in Indian energy finance, discussed how India can best invest in a low-carbon future on July 2-3, 2018, during an event co-organised by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and Observer Research Foundation (ORF).

On July 3, CPI’s Dhruba Purkayastha, Director of the US-India Clean Energy Finance, took part in a panel discussion on how to attract private finance for projects and companies that can support the low-carbon transition.

The panelists addressed the following points of discussion:

  • The recent developments in blending public finance with private investment by using de-risking and credit-enhancing tools
  • How to improve access to finance for green SMEs
