The OECD will gather Environment Ministers for a meeting under the theme “Ensuring a Resilient and Healthy Environment for All” and will feature two central focuses – climate and plastics. Ministers will have an opportunity to discuss the climate challenge and chart the next steps after COP26, with critical themes including climate finance, mitigation and adaptation, pricing carbon, net zero, and bridging the gap between longer-term goals and near-term commitments.

Plenary Session: Moving to Net-Zero – Aligning financial flows with climate and environment goals

This plenary discusses priority actions for policymakers, standard setters, and financial actors to align financial flows with the net-zero transition, climate resilience and other international environmental goals such as biodiversity while avoiding the risk of greenwashing. The session also discusses key policy priorities and opportunities for international collaboration to mobilize and channel investment in environmental activities at scale and pace.
