Ben Hufton is a Senior Program Associate at CPI, based in London. He supports the Global Climate Finance Tracking Program and the Net Zero Finance Tracker (NZFT) an open-data platform that monitors the financial sector’s transition from net-zero commitments to tangible actions and impacts with overall project management, resourcing, budgeting, donor reporting and engagement with data partners.

Ben joined CPI from WWF International where he worked in programme delivery across WWF’s global conservation programmes. Prior to this, Ben worked as a Programme Manager for Plan International UK – managing a portfolio of projects across the federation and developing Plan UK’s climate and environment programme in Brazil, Kenya, Timor Leste, Malawi and Dominican Republic. Ben’s first role in international development saw him working in the Rule of Law programme for the United Nations Development programme in Somalia.

In his roles at Plan, Ben worked on developing Plan’s gender-focused conservation livelihoods and triple crisis programme – developing projects across the federation promoting green skills, resource conservation and management and climate change adaptation.

Ben holds a Master’s Degree in Economic Development from the University of Manchester.
