Climate Policy Initiative will host a session at the Building Bridges 2025 conference in Geneva to explore the current state of net zero finance and where we need to go. Drawing on CPI’s Net Zero Finance Tracker (NZFT) and insights from the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance, it will examine both the integrity of climate commitments, observed progress and impacts in the real economy, and current drivers and gaps in action and how to address them. The session will also focus on the role of financial innovation in mobilizing capital, particularly from institutional investors, toward real-economy solutions.

The session will open with a showcase presentation by CPI experts Valerio Micale and Amanda Brasil-Leigh, followed by a panel discussion on trends in climate finance tracking and financial innovation.

Speakers include:

  • Sasha Cisar, Specialist for Sustainable Investments, Nest Sammelstiftung
  • Kaspar Baumann, Partner, Clarmondial
  • Lauren Carter, Deputy Team Lead & Head of External Engagement, UNDP Insurance and Risk Finance Facility
