Bhavi Shah is a Junior Analyst at Climate Policy Initiative India, based in New Delhi, where she works with the Centre for Sustainable Finance (CSF) program on the Green and Sustainable Finance team. Her work in climate finance began at Boston University’s Global Development Policy Center, where she contributed to research on Special Drawing Rights (SDRs), debt sustainability, and multilateral lending reforms to support climate-vulnerable countries.

She also worked with the Boston University Department of Economics on the Cities Project, analyzing income distribution disparities across urban areas in developed and developing countries.

Prior to joining CPI, Bhavi gained experience at the Gokhale Institute of Politics & Economics, researching consumer behavior and sustainable agriculture in India, and at United Way Mumbai, where she supported community road safety initiatives.

Bhavi holds a Master’s degree in Economic Policy from Boston University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Symbiosis School of Economics, Pune.
