During Rio Climate Action Week, Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) and the Institute for Climate and Society (iCS) will host an exclusive, in-person workshop at Pinheiro Neto Law Firm to provide a comprehensive overview of Brazil’s blended climate finance landscape.
The workshop aims to equip private sector actors, investors, and other organizations with the knowledge and tools needed to develop, implement, and invest in innovative climate solutions tailored to the Brazilian context. It will provide targeted insights and recommendations to help participants advance climate-related investments.
Drawing from CPI’s experiences and analyses, including the portfolios and studies of the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance (the Lab) and the Catalytic Climate Finance Facility (CC Facility), the event will cover necessary climate finance flows and highlight successful blended finance vehicles already launched in the country. Participants will learn about key barriers to capital mobilization, essential concepts in blended finance, and effective de-risking mechanisms, along with examples of innovative financial instruments.
