The third edition of the biannual joint report Global Landscape of Renewable Energy Finance 2023 by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) analyses the latest renewable energy investment trends in the period 2013-2020. The report also discusses preliminary insights from 2021-2022.

The key findings of the report will be presented in the webinar on the 30th of March 2023. Presentations will be delivered by IRENA and CPI staff to discuss renewable energy investment trends by technology, sector, region, source of finance, and financial instruments, as well as discuss how public financing needs to evolve to support regions and countries that have considerable untapped potential but find it difficult to attract investments. Funding must be focused on supporting energy transition infrastructure development, as well as enabling policy frameworks to drive investment and address persistent socio-economic gaps. A Q&A session will follow.
