Building Bridges will open with a Summit focused on pragmatic solutions in a fragmented world. Held on Tuesday, 6 October from 08:30 – 12:30, it brings together leaders across finance and society.

At the Summit, Barbara Buchner, CEO of Climate Policy Initiative, will participate in the session “Global Policy Perspectives: Policy, geopolitics, and the future of the transition.” The discussion will examine how geopolitics, energy security, industrial strategy, and diverging policy approaches are shaping the next phase of the global transition, and what this means for climate finance and investment. Barbara will join a wider program featuring speakers including Secretary John Kerry, Rachel Kyte, Emmanuel Faber, and Carine Smith Ichenacho.

Global Endorsement Meeting
Tuesday, October 6
13:00 – 20:00

The Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance’s annual Global Endorsement Meeting will take place in Geneva on October 7, marking the end of the Lab’s analytical and development cycle. This year, the meeting will be hosted as part of the Building Bridges program, bringing together investors, financial institutions, governments, and climate finance practitioners to explore innovative approaches to mobilizing capital for climate action. The event provides a platform to showcase the Lab’s newest endorsed financial solutions to a global audience of climate finance leaders and potential implementation partners.

Lab Members and Observers are invited to participate in this closed-door, invitation-only meeting alongside a broader network that includes alumni from the 87 financial solutions the Lab has supported since 2015.

Endorsement represents a significant milestone, signaling that a solution has completed the Lab process and is ready to engage investors, implementation partners, and other stakeholders. Participants will have the opportunity to provide input, identify areas for collaboration, and express interest in supporting the next generation of climate finance solutions.
