Suraj Ravichandiran is a Junior Analyst at CPI Delhi, where his work focuses on Low Carbon Transition and Mobility Decarbonization. His primary areas of expertise include Applied Econometric Modelling, Vulnerability Impact Assessment, Ecosystem Accounting, Environmental Valuation, Economics of Climate Change, Resource Economics, and Just Transition.
Prior to CPI, Suraj worked as a Research Assistant at Integrated Research and Action for Development (IRADe), contributing to national-level policy research on the development of a Pilot Urban Ecosystem Accounting Framework for India and household and sectoral heat stress impact studies in collaboration with MoSPI, IMD, and various other ministries and departments. Suraj defended his master’s thesis focusing on the techno-economic assessment and environmental implications of Green Hydrogen Transition in India. He also completed an Engineering Project focused on the recovery of high-octane products from off-gas in collaboration with Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL).
Suraj holds an MA in Environmental Economics from Madras School of Economics and a B.Tech in Petroleum Engineering and Technology from Anna University, Chennai. He is also a founding member and treasurer of the Society of Petroleum Engineers Chapter and a coordinator of Rotaract Club events at Anna University.
