Lasya Nookala is a climate and development finance professional with over a decade of experience in climate-smart agriculture, inclusive climate finance, and rural value chain development across Asia and Africa. She currently serves as Manager in the Green and Sustainable Finance team at Climate Policy Initiative (CPI), where she supports programs focused on sustainable agriculture financing, climate adaptation finance, and inclusive rural livelihoods. Her expertise includes climate policy and regulatory analysis, value chain and market assessments, development of inclusive financial solutions, and stakeholder engagement with governments, financial institutions, donors, and multilaterals.
Lasya has led and contributed to several high-impact initiatives across Asia and Africa, including designing climate-smart agriculture financing solutions for smallholder farmers, developing climate-gender investment strategies for women-led enterprises, and supporting large-scale livelihood and farmer-producer organization programs. Her work focuses on building scalable and inclusive financing models that strengthen climate resilience, improve rural livelihoods, and expand access to sustainable finance for underserved communities.
She has authored and contributed to multiple sector publications on climate-smart agriculture finance, rural value chains, cold chain technologies, and sustainable agriculture. Lasya holds an MBA in Agribusiness from Symbiosis International University and a B.Tech in Biotechnology from Osmania University.
