Freddy Sitorus is an Analyst at CPI’s Jakarta office. With a background as an economist specializing in econometrics, fiscal and monetary policy, and energy affordability, he contributes to CPI’s mission of advancing evidence-based and data-informed solutions that accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy while ensuring policies remain equitable for affected and low-income communities.
Before joining CPI, Fred worked with a state-owned enterprise (BUMN) in Indonesia on a climate and economic resilience program for coastal communities. He also interned at the United Nations and UNDP, focusing on financing for the sustainable development agenda, and worked with One Acre Fund and the Gates Foundation to assess a women’s financial inclusion program supporting economic development and women’s financial independence in Kenya.
Fred holds an MPA in Economic Development and Quantitative Analysis from Columbia University, United States, and a BA in Finance from Universitas Sumatera Utara, Indonesia.
