Dr. Amanda Katili Niode is a an environmental management specialist, educator and writer. She is a founding member of the International Environmental Communication Association, and is the Manager of The Climate Reality Project Indonesia. She previously held positions as the Head of the Expert Team at the Office of the President’s Special Envoy for Climate Change in Indonesia, and a Special Assistant to the Indonesian Minister of Environment.

Amanda was a member of the Indonesian Delegation to Conference of Parties (COP) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) from COP 13 in 2007 to COP 25 in 2019. Amanda was Indonesia’s National Focal Point for Article 6 UNFCCC (Renamed to Action for Climate Empowerment). She holds a Ph.D. from the School of Natural Resources and Environment, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA, and received her undergraduate degree from the School of Natural Science and Technology, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia.
