CPI will participate in the second edition of Nordic Climate Dialogues, hosted by the Nordic Development Fund (NDF) in Helsinki on 29 September 2026.

The event will bring together public and private sector leaders from the Nordic region and beyond to explore how finance can better connect climate, development, and nature objectives, with a particular focus on mobilizing investment for vulnerable and lower-income countries.

As climate and biodiversity challenges become increasingly interconnected, there is a growing need to move beyond siloed approaches to finance. Nordic Climate Dialogues 2026 will examine how public and private capital can be deployed more effectively to support resilience, adaptation, biodiversity, and broader sustainable development.

Discussions will focus on the role of innovative financial solutions, stronger partnerships, and practical approaches that can help turn climate and nature priorities into investable opportunities.

Barbara Buchner, CEO of Climate Policy Initiative, will deliver a keynote address, highlighting the evolving global climate finance landscape and the opportunities to accelerate investment in climate solutions across emerging markets and developing economies.

Bella Tonkonogy, Senior Director of Global Programs at CPI, will lead a pitch session showcasing practical approaches and innovative financing solutions that can help bridge the gap between climate and development priorities and investment at scale.

The dialogue will also explore the distinctive role that Nordic institutions, investors, and companies can play in supporting innovative finance and strengthening partnerships across the climate, development, and nature finance ecosystem.

Nordic Climate Dialogues is a private, invitation-only event. The opening session will also be available to join online. For more information and registration, please visit the Nordic Climate Dialogues 2026 website.
