Francisco Martes Porto Macedo is a Senior Program Associate in CPI’s London office, leading different workstreams of the Cities Climate Finance Leadership Alliance (CCFLA). He is responsible for the Leadership for Urban Climate Investment (LUCI) program, the framework for concrete collaboration between champion initiatives of CCFLA members. He also oversees the Local Hubs program, which aims to capitalize on CCFLA’s membership to support the development of solutions that effectively address barriers limiting urban climate investment in different countries and regions. In addition, he leads CCFLA’s Adaptation Finance workstream. Finally, he represents CCFLA in the World Economic Forum’s Expert Task Force on Nature-Positive Cities.

Prior to CPI, Francisco worked as a Climate Finance Consultant at OECD and a Partnerships Coordinator at Black Jaguar Foundation. He also worked at Oliver Wyman as a Strategy Consultant.

Francisco holds a double Master’s degree in Sustainable Forest and Nature Management from the University of Copenhagen and the University of Padova, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo. He also holds a specialization degree in Corporate Sustainability from FIA Business School.
