Philemon is an Analyst at CPI, based in Cape Town. Philemon supports the Climateshot Investor Coalition (CLIC) and has worked in the agricultural impact investment space for more than five years, focusing on sub-Saharan Africa.

With an academic background in sustainable agriculture from Stellenbosch University, he has provided technical advisory services to different investment stakeholders across diverse agricultural sectors. More recently, he has led the assessment of climate risks and opportunities faced by agri-investment deals in South Africa.

His experience also includes assessing and evaluating regenerative agriculture implementation across portfolio investments and developing methodology to better measure and apply regenerative agriculture in African agri-investments.
