Manuella Comerio de Paulo is an Analyst in the Cities Climate Finance Leadership Alliance (CCFLA) at CPI, based in Rio. She joins to support the State of Cities Climate Finance report and the implementation of CCFLA’s Brazil Hub to drive urban and subnational financing for climate mitigation and adaptation.
Prior to joining CPI, Manuella worked at the European Investment Bank (EIB) developing a technical guide on Nature-based Solutions to promote climate resilience of infrastructure projects. Previously, she collaborated with research at the Urban Big Data Centre (University of Glasgow), supporting the development of models that classify informality of urban settlements in African cities.
She holds a MSc in Urban Analytics from the University of Glasgow, a postgraduate degree in Economics and Sustainability Management (focus on Smart Cities) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and a bachelor’s in architecture and urban planning from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES).
