Entender que tecnologias e pr\u00e1ticas agr\u00edcolas geram ganhos de produtividade sem promover o desmatamento \u00e9 fundamental para lidar com esse desafio. Entretanto,&nbsp;<strong>a aus\u00eancia de informa\u00e7\u00f5es atualizadas sobre o uso de tecnologias e insumos em n\u00edvel desagregado geraram uma lacuna no conhecimento existente sobre a din\u00e2mica de ado\u00e7\u00e3o de tecnologias agr\u00edcolas e sua rela\u00e7\u00e3o com produtividade e desmatamento.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Este relat\u00f3rio de pesquisadores do&nbsp; Climate Policy Initiative\/ Pontif\u00edcia Universidade Cat\u00f3lica do Rio de Janeiro (CPI\/ PUC-Rio) e INPUT tem como objetivo preencher essa lacuna. Ele explora dados ao n\u00edvel municipal recentemente disponibilizados do Censo Agropecu\u00e1rio de 2017 para descrever a evolu\u00e7\u00e3o de tr\u00eas pr\u00e1ticas agr\u00edcolas frequentemente conectadas com processos de intensifica\u00e7\u00e3o agr\u00edcola: sistema de plantio direto na palha, tratores e fertilizantes.<\/p>\n<p>Os resultados revelam padr\u00f5es distintos na evolu\u00e7\u00e3o do uso dessas tecnologias no pa\u00eds. Apesar de continuar concentrado em munic\u00edpios produtores de gr\u00e3os, o uso do plantio direto se desconcentrou espacialmente na \u00faltima d\u00e9cada. Por sua vez, a concentra\u00e7\u00e3o espacial do uso de tratores cresceu, enquanto a concentra\u00e7\u00e3o espacial do uso de fertilizantes n\u00e3o mudou nesse per\u00edodo.<\/p>\n<p>Apesar das tr\u00eas tecnologias analisadas nesse relat\u00f3rio estarem conectadas com o processo de moderniza\u00e7\u00e3o agr\u00edcola, seus determinantes e consequ\u00eancias ambientais diferem.
