With the 2026 submissions, the Lab has now reviewed more than 3,000 applications since launching its first cycle in 2015.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the first phase of the application process, applicants submitted a preliminary application form. Now, the best-ranked ideas, assessed against the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.climatefinancelab.org\/call-for-ideas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lab criteria<\/a>, will submit a complete application, offering additional details about their proposed concepts and allowing for a more detailed evaluation.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2026, the Lab will select and develop eight innovative finance solutions that can unlock climate investment in emerging markets. One idea will be chosen for each of the following programs:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Africa <\/strong>\u2013<strong> <\/strong>Mitigation\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Africa <\/strong>\u2013 Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Asia-Pacific <\/strong>\u2013 Mitigation\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Brazil<\/strong> \u2013 Adaptation or Mitigation\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>India <\/strong>\u2013 Adaptation or Mitigation\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Latin America and the Caribbean<\/strong> \u2013<strong> <\/strong>Adaptation\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Latin America and the Caribbean<\/strong> \u2013<strong> <\/strong>Mitigation\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The Philippines <\/strong>\u2013 Adaptation\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lab program is designed to incubate promising climate finance solutions across emerging markets. Selected ideas will receive a comprehensive support package with expert guidance, technical assistance, funder mapping, networking opportunities, and pilot implementation support.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2026 cohort will also have access to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.climatefinancelab.org\/pre-seed-capital-facility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pre-Seed Capital Facility<\/a> \u2013 a program offering grants of USD 150,000 to 250,000 to eligible Lab-endorsed ideas after the incubation period.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>London to host Global Selection Meeting&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lab will host the 2026 Global Selection Meeting in London in early March.
