CPI also supports efforts in adaptation with a focus on financing adaptation in India, sustainable finance flows to agriculture, and nature-based solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ABOUT THE LOW CARBON TRANSITION WORKSTREAM<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CPI&#8217;s Low Carbon Transition workstream analyzes decarbonization pathways across the energy, industry, mobility, and related sectors. The workstream develops a range of analytical tools, financial instruments, and mechanisms to address transition-related challenges and create opportunities for sustainable development. The workstream&#8217;s objective is to build comprehensive transition-linked solutions aligned with the country\u2019s NDC targets, enabled by frameworks structured around the effective use of public funds, international development capital, and carbon finance to help navigate transition-related risks.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About the role<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Analyst\/Senior Analyst will provide essential support in planning and executing research initiatives, and in developing sectoral transition frameworks, policy recommendations, and financial mechanisms drawing on methodologies from economics, finance, public policy, and related disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The incumbent will actively contribute to CPI India&#8217;s ongoing projects and programs, ideally bringing prior experience in one or two areas of low-carbon transition such as clean power, sustainable mobility and industrial decarbonization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Support communication and continued engagement with a range of national and international partners across policy, finance, and corporate spheres, as well as with other CPI teams globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While the role&#8217;s primary focus is Low Carbon Transition, the individual will be an integral part of CPI&#8217;s broader team, with opportunities to collaborate across other programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Competencies &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in economics\/engineering\/management with a specialization in Renewable Energy, Power Systems, Energy Modelling or a related field<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional Experience (Mandatory): Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years (for Analyst) or 6 years (for Senior Analyst) of demonstrable post-qualification professional experience in consulting, advisory, or research roles related to the power and energy sector.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Relevant experience should include work with power utilities, energy modelling, international organizations, government agencies, and\/or multilateral institutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in data analysis using Advanced Excel, Python, R, and Power BI, as well as familiarity with power system modelling tools such as Plexos, PyPSA, OSeMOSYS, or similar platforms, will be considered an added advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in English and at least one Indian language.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flexibility, professionalism, and enthusiasm for working as part of a team, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and perform well under pressure and tight deadlines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exposure to or experience working with policymakers, regulators, financiers as well as domestic and international development organizations is preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Position Details<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a permanent\/fixed-term, full-time Analyst\/Senior Analyst position based in Delhi\/NCR. Under this programme, CPI is actively engaging with policymakers at a regional level, civil society and academic institutions, financial institutions, and state-owned enterprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Position Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Senior Manager role, reporting directly to the Associate Director &#8211; Low Carbon Transition, would be responsible for providing essential support in the planning and execution of research initiatives, capacity building activities, collaborative forums, and engagement with stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, the incumbent will be an active contributor to various ongoing projects and programs undertaken by CPI in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the heart of this role is the opportunity to contribute to sustainable finance strategies, foster impactful policy interventions, and actively participate in initiatives that drive positive change at the intersection of climate action and economic development.<br>The ideal candidate will bring prior experience\u00a0in some or all thematic areas \u2013 low-carbon transition in power, mobility, industries, and just transition. In addition to the core work, the Senior Manager will be expected to lead and support the communication and engagement with a diverse set of national and international partners from the policy, finance, and corporate spheres, as well as with other CPI teams globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities<br><\/strong>Includes the following and others as assigned:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lead the primary responsibility for projects as designated by, and under the direction of, senior management and ad-hoc advisory committees; develop, manage, and implement complex research assignments and analytical projects, including oversight of all projects within the program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead the production and completion of high-quality CPI products, including full reports, executive summaries, blogs, and presentations, working closely with the Communications team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct research and analysis on topics related to the low-carbon transition in power, mobility, heavy industries, and just transition thematic areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Co-author, review, and contribute to the development of long research reports, issue briefs, and blogs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Curriculum development for capacity development programs for various stakeholders, including policymakers and regulators.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate internal and external meetings, workshops, conferences, and other dissemination activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engage with clients, policymakers, and investors to provide advice on the implications of research findings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Represent CPI and present research findings at high-level events and conferences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Establish and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders, existing clients, and potential partners in the field of sustainable finance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Guide staff working in that area and coordinate communications with the project team\/s, provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff on professional work practices, and lead by example, building a strong sense of commitment and motivation in the team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the Associate\/ Director on the allocation of staff time in line with budgets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Post Graduate degree in economics, finance, international\/sustainable development, public policy, management, or another relevant field and demonstrable (at least 10-12 years) post qualification experience in the field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Significant professional experience analysing India\u2019s energy transition and knowledge about transition issues and risks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Knowledge of major policies, regulations and developments pertaining to India\u2019s energy sector.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sound understanding of finance; At the same time, CPI also partners with the relevant governmental authorities to accelerate green financing from Indonesia\u2019s public and private financing institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About EKONIKLIM and the Required Position<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The issues of the environment (including climate change, resource scarcity, energy transition, deforestation, waste, and others) are on the rise in Indonesia. At the same time, the issues of the economy (including development, growth, inflation, employment, state budget, financial industries, international trade, and others) have been a common theme in Indonesia\u2019s media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the connection between these two streams of issues is still poorly explored in the media, despite it being interesting and important for a large country like Indonesia. Most have tried to tackle this with non-visual approaches (like written (semi-)academic publications), where they hardly arouse public attention. But for the few who have tried to tackle this with a more creative visual approach (like podcasts and documentaries), they are also struggling to maintain content integrity (without sacrificing popular views to some extent).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2025, the CPI Indonesia office established EKONIKLIM. It has been a free and publicly accessible visual platform, focusing on the intersection of economics, finance, and climate policy. Within its first two years, the EKONIKLIM platform has produced mostly podcasts. Occasionally, it has also produced a documentary film and an edited book. The idea is to increase the Indonesian public awareness and to accelerate public support for a more sustainable economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently, CPI Indonesia is exploring strategies to maintain the existence and relevance of EKONIKLIM as long as possible, and to increase the popularity of EKONIKLIM in the eyes of the Indonesian public at the same time, without sacrificing the professionalism of its contents.<br>In formulating these strategies, CPI Indonesia requires a short-term external strategist to help CPI Indonesia\u2019s EKONIKLIM team. It is hoped that such a strategist can guide the EKONIKLIM team with his\/her proven experience and creativity in solving similar challenges before elsewhere. It is also important to note that the formulated strategies need to remain within the bounds of CPI\u2019s organizational values\/principles\/ways of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Scope of Work<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The strategist shall perform the following tasks. Please note that the strategist will work with the EKONIKLIM team on the following formulation tasks to ensure that the formulation remains within the CPI\u2019s organizational values\/principles\/ways of work.<\/p>\n\n\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Long Term Positioning<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Clarify EKONIKLIM\u2019s long-term goals.<\/li>\n<li>Identify a strategy for achieving such goals.<\/li>\n<li>Identify how to maintain enough\/flexible topics to be produced in the long-term.<\/li>\n<li>Identify what metrics to measure the achievement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Audience Research<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct an audit of the current channel to identify friction points in audience retention and engagement.<\/li>\n<li>Map out target audience personas (e.g., policymakers, finance professionals, climate students) and tailor the channel&#8217;s value proposition to their viewing habits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Content Architecture (The UX)<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Design standardized &#8220;video formats&#8221; or show structures (e.g., deep-dive explainers, policy briefs, data-driven shorts).<\/li>\n<li>Develop a storytelling framework that outlines how to hook viewers, structure economic arguments, and pace information to prevent drop-off.<\/li>\n<li>Determine whether EKONIKLIM needs to diversify visual products beyond podcasts (such as documentary videos, TED-like monologues, etc).<\/li>\n<li>Define how frequently EKONIKLIM needs to produce in a calendar year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Visual &amp; Brand Strategy<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Create a comprehensive visual strategy document. Note: The strategist will not produce daily templates, but rather the overarching brand rules.<\/li>\n<li>Develop conceptual mockups for thumbnails, data visualizations, and on-screen graphics to serve as a strict stylistic guide for EKONIKLIM&#8217;s internal video editors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Operations &amp; Growth System<br \/><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Formulate a strategic playbook for YouTube SEO, algorithm optimization, and content packaging (titles and thumbnail psychology).<\/li>\n<li>Formulate a funding strategy in the long-term, with the context of Climate Policy Initiative being a non-profit organization.<\/li>\n<li>Strategize the manpower management in the long-term.<\/li>\n<li>Lead a debrief and strategy handover session to ensure the EKONIKLIM team can confidently execute the blueprint.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Qualification and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or related areas.<\/li>\n<li>Reasonable level of knowledge about the environment (notably climate issues, natural resources, and energy).<\/li>\n<li>Reasonable level of knowledge about the economy (including fiscal, monetary, and trade policies) and finance.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in public message architecture, audience analysis, audience expansion, content\/brand strategy\/development, reputation management, and related areas.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in scouting for (long-term) funding opportunities for a product\/brand.<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in English and Indonesian.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Competencies and Personal Attributes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and creative thinking.<\/li>\n<li>Project funding and project management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Deep interest in growing a brand.<\/li>\n<li>Having a sensitivity about Indonesia\u2019s politics is desirable, but not essential.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Deliverables<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The strategist shall deliver the following deliverables. Please note that the strategist will deliver these in coordination with the EKONIKLIM team to ensure that the content of the deliverables remains within the CPI\u2019s organizational values\/principles\/ways of work.<\/p>\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Positioning Blueprint: A framework for EKONIKLIM\u2019s long-term positioning (i.e., goals, strategy, metrics, topic diversification, product diversification).<\/li>\n<li>Product Strategy &amp; Audience Insight Report: A deep dive into who is watching, why they leave, and the overarching strategy to capture the target demographic.<\/li>\n<li>Content Architecture Blueprint: A structural guide defining the new video formats, optimal lengths, product frequency, and narrative scripting frameworks.<\/li>\n<li>Visual Brand Guidelines (Brand Book): A strategic design manual including mood boards, typography rules, color palettes, and conceptual mockups to guide the internal production team.<\/li>\n<li>Growth &amp; Operations Playbook: A systematic guide detailing YouTube SEO rules, posting strategies, and audience engagement tactics. Also, a long-term tactic on manpower and funding management.<\/li>\n<li>Debrief and Strategy Handover Session: A final, collaborative session to align the EKONIKLIM team on executing the new product design.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Notes about the Position<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CPI Indonesia is hiring <strong>one (1) public communication strategist<\/strong> for its EKONIKLIM team. This <strong>short-term<\/strong> strategist will work in CPI Indonesia under a consulting contract that runs for <strong>a maximum of three (3) months<\/strong>, from <strong>1 August 2026 <\/strong>to<strong> 31 October 2026<\/strong>. This strategist will also work on a <strong>part-time<\/strong> basis. This role&nbsp;is responsible for&nbsp;managing end-to-end AP processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and corporate expense reviews. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with the AP and Operations teams to&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;strong financial controls and efficient processes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1. Employee Reimbursements &amp; Corporate Expenses<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Review employee reimbursement reports for policy compliance, proper submission, and receipt documentation.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review all corporate credit card transactions for accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policies, as well as monthly statement reconciliation.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. This role sits within the Finance team and focuses on detailed financial analysis, strengthening reporting systems, and&nbsp;providing training and support to program staff.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Analyst will serve as a key regional resource,\u00a0assisting\u00a0in the preparation of complex financial reports,\u00a0maintaining\u00a0internal MIS for project managers, and ensuring global compliance standards are met across all programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1. Financial Reporting &amp; Compliance\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist the Grants Manager in the periodic preparation of external financial reports for funders, ensuring restricted funds are\u00a0utilized\u00a0accurately.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain and update internal MIS reports to provide project managers and management with\u00a0timely\u00a0visibility into spending performance.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform\u00a0preliminary\u00a0review of internal and external project budgets to ensure accuracy, sound cost allocation, and achievement of cost-recovery targets.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support in ensuring\u00a0compliance with CPI policies, procedures, and donor requirements across financial systems and processes.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2. Budgeting, Planning &amp; Program Support\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Help prepare financial content for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and gather documentation for donor due diligence.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide day-to-day support to program staff\u00a0regarding\u00a0project budgeting and tracking cash flow.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide day-to-day financial support to finance leadership and coordinate with operations and research staff to meet deadlines.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. Grants Management &amp; Audits\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist\u00a0in the coordination of grant-specific audits\u00a0by compiling necessary documentation\u00a0in collaboration with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Program teams.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support administration of subgrant agreements, including due diligence, financial oversight, and monitoring.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Compile financial content for\u00a0Requests for Proposals and manage donor due-diligence financial requirements.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review new grant and contract agreements,\u00a0identify\u00a0key financial considerations, and flag potential issues\u00a0to the Finance team..<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4.
