We are unique in our focus on finance, our ability to get the right people to the table, and our analytical rigor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Position Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Manager role, reporting&nbsp;to the&nbsp;Head of\u202fGreen &amp; Sustainable Finance, would&nbsp;be responsible for&nbsp;providing essential support in the planning and execution of research initiatives, capacity building activities, collaborative forums, and engagement with stakeholders.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the incumbent will be an active contributor to various ongoing projects and programs undertaken by CPI in India.<br>At the heart of this role is the opportunity to contribute to sustainable finance strategies, foster impactful policy interventions, and actively participate&nbsp;in initiatives that drive positive change at the intersection of climate action and economic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ideal candidate will bring prior experience\u202fin some or all\u202fthematic areas -\u202fresearch, adaptation, green investment, MSMEs, and gender.\u202fCandidates with\u202fa banking background in\u202fcredit, risk, strategy, NBFCs, financial institutions\u202f(specifically in the strategy division or risk management division), or consulting firms\u202fwithin financial and risk management, ESG, climate risk,\u202fand climate divisions in banks\u202fare eligible to apply<strong>.\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Includes the following and others as assigned:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have primary responsibility for projects as&nbsp;designated by, and under the direction of senior management and ad-hoc advisory committees, develop, manage, and implement complex research assignments and analytical projects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead the production and completion of high-quality CPI products, including full reports, executive summaries, blogs, and presentations, working closely with the Communications team.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct research and analysis on topics related to sustainable finance, including policy and regulation, market practices, reporting and disclosure, taxonomy, and innovative financial mechanisms.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Co-author, review, and contribute to the development of long research reports, issue briefs, and blogs.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Curriculum development for capacity development programs on sustainable finance for various stakeholders, including banks, financial institutions, policymakers, and regulators.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate internal and external meetings, workshops, conferences, and other dissemination activities.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engage with clients, policymakers, and investors to provide advice on the implications of research findings.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Represent CPI and present research findings at high-level events and conferences.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Establish and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;excellent relationships with key stakeholders, existing clients, and potential partners in the field of sustainable finance.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Post Graduate degree in Finance\/Economics\/Engineering \/Management\/CFA and&nbsp;demonstrable\u202f(at least&nbsp;8-10 years)\u202fpost qualification experience in the field.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Significant professional\u202fexperience in the financial sector\/regulators,\u202fmanagement consulting\/advisory\/research,&nbsp;domestic or&nbsp;international non-profit, government, and\/or a multi-lateral institution.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Independent, analytical mind with an excellent&nbsp;track record&nbsp;of applying sound financial judgment to complex issues.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flexibility, professionalism, enthusiasm for working as part of a team, and an ability to interact with a diverse array of people.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including fluency in English.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding of climate finance and the financial sector actors and actions that are crucial to driving a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy and building back better.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Competencies &amp;
