CPI’s Executive Director of Climate Finance,\u00a0Dr. Barbara Buchner<\/a> will be moderating a round table discussion at Climate Finance Day 2017<\/a>\u00a0in Paris on the eve of the \u201cOne Planet Summit,” organized by French President\u00a0Emmanuel Macron.<\/p>\n

The economics of low-carbon technologies continue to improve. However, their deployment remains hampered by barriers, risks, and costs that limit access to financing. To accelerate the low-carbon transition, new public-private cooperation is developing. This cooperation depends on political support and on the strategic use of public policies and finance to mobilize private money more effectively. This round table will highlight the most promising initiatives to deliver public priorities, support the market, and address the challenges of adaptation to and mitigation of climate change.<\/p>\n
