Melody Salerno is the Operations Associate at CPI’s San Francisco office. She is the executive assistant to Global Managing Director, Barbara Buchner, maintaining her calendar events, travel, and meetings. She provides organizational skills in office administration and operations to support the team. She also supports social media and event planning on the communications team. Her work experience is in nonprofits and the public sector through an environmental justice and sustainable business lens. Her expertise includes outreach, communications, campaign organizing, marketing, and social media management.

Previously, she managed university students both in the U.S. and Africa on Climate Drawdown events at Net Impact. She compiled a database of reuse organizations all across NYC on the Department of Sanitation Recycling and Sustainability website. She’s well-versed in Fair Trade certifications through her work with the Domestic Fair Trade Association and Fair Trade USA, and can tell you the best chocolate brands to support with your dollar and your sweet tooth. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont.
