Felipe Borschiver is an Analyst at Climate Policy Initiative, based in Rio de Janeiro, where he manages the development of energy-related instruments for the Brasil and Global Labs. His experience lies in structured finance and distributed energy projects, and has worked on the Distributed Energy for Cooperatives and the Distributed Energy for Social Housing instruments, which are both focused on enabling low cost/risk-free solar generation. Felipe is also a lead for the Energy Access track within the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance, currently developing the Solar Securitization instrument.
Prior to joining CPI, Felipe worked for IP Capital Partners and founded/managed Archipelago Partners, both asset management companies focused on long-term equity investments in Brazil. He has extensive experience in financial analysis and assessment of governance and incentive frameworks, as well as structuring of financial products. Felipe holds an Economics degree from the University of Rio de Janeiro and a Masters in Sustainable Finance from the COPPEAD School of Management (UFRJ).
