Rajashree Padmanabhi is a Senior Analyst at CPI, based in London. She focuses on tracking climate finance for our flagship series The Global Landscape of Climate Finance. Her recent work focuses on developing a sustainable finance roadmap (UNDP India), mapping the political economy of sustainable finance in India (E3G) and deep-diving into innovative financial instruments for adaptation in Africa (GCA). As a part of the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance, she has supported our work on enhancing mangrove finance through GROVE: Forestry Smart Ledger (FSL) instrument and has also provided project coordination support to the Cities Climate Finance Leadership Alliance.
Prior to joining CPI, she worked with the Grantham Research Institute of Climate Change where she conducted literature review for the ‘Business and Industry’ chapter of UK Climate Change Risk Assessment 2022. She has also worked with MSCI as an ESG Ratings Analyst.
Rajashree holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics and another one in Climate Change and Sustainability from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur.
