Lourdes de Alcantara Machado serves as Senior Legal Analyst, with a focus on Law and Climate Governance, at CPI Brazil. She is currently researching how to develop and implement standards that help implement appropriate public policies in areas of land use, Forest Code and climate change. Previously, she worked as an associate attorney and consultant in law firms, focusing on preventive and corrective action on environmental problems. Graduated in Law from PUC-SP, Lourdes has a specialization in Environmental Management from USP, as well as an LL.M and Doctorate (JSD) from the University of California, Berkeley.
