Idan Sasson is a Project Coordinator at Climate Policy Initiative, based in London. At CPI, he is responsible for coordinating the implementation of the Leadership for Urban Climate Investment (LUCI), a commitments-based framework of the Cities Climate Finance Leadership Alliance which seeks to strengthen the capacity of 2000 cities in project preparation, creating 1000 bankable climate-smart urban projects by 2025 while building new, innovative financing mechanisms.

Prior to CPI, Idan worked as a Project Manager for Rebuild by Design, in partnership with 100 Resilient Cities, developing strategies for inclusive community and stakeholder engagement to address urban resilience challenges. Idan also worked for the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, developing initiatives to engage youth in New York’s 1000+ community gardens.

Idan holds a Master’s Degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science in Environment and Development and a B.A. from New York University’s Gallatin School in Sustainable Urban Development.
