Diego serves as Research Analyst focusing on Conservation at CPI Brazil. Currently, he is working to understand the process of forest degradation in the Amazon biome, but he has also worked on assessing the dynamics of legal deforestation around large hydroelectric dams and on constructing the data repository that supports several agendas of Conservation team. Diego has a Bachelor degree in Economics from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and a Master degree in Economics from the Faculdade de Economia, Administração e Contabilidade de Ribeirão Preto (FEA-RP/USP).
