Valérie is an analyst based in CPI’s London office. At CPI, she works on sustainable cities, specifically on tracking urban climate finance for the Cities Climate Finance Leadership Alliance (the Alliance), as well as supporting the development of new financial instruments related to sustainable cities for the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance. Her other recent work at CPI includes in-depth analysis of development finance flows for electrification and clean cooking access in 20 countries with significant energy access gaps for Sustainable Energy for All’s Energizing Finance report.

Prior to joining CPI, Valérie worked as an equity research trainee for the investment bank Société Générale, where she contributed to financial modeling and analysis for the energy utilities, financial services and consumer goods sectors, as well as in equity investment strategy and ESG research. Valérie also did an internship at Efficacity, a French research institute, where she focused on energy efficiency in cities and the strategies subnational policymakers can implement to encourage sustainable infrastructure.

Valerie holds a Master’s degree in Environmental and Natural Resources Economics from the Toulouse School of Economics, as well as a B.A. in Economics from McGill University with minors in Political Science and Mandarin.
