Federico Mazza is a Manager in London, where he leads the nature-based solutions and blue carbon work of the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance.
Federico has strong expertise in tracking climate finance built over several years of work on CPI’s Global Landscape of Climate Finance. As the climate finance methodology lead of GNIplus, he is providing technical assistance to government officials and private sector associations in Kenya for the implementation of the country’s nationally determined contributions.
Since 2017, Federico has led the Energizing Finance report for Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) that provides an in-depth analysis of development finance flows for electrification and clean cooking access in 20 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia, which have significant energy access gaps.
Federico has also supported CPI’s work on risk management and climate resilience, as a member of the Adaptation and Resilience Expert Group (AREG) of Climate Bonds Initiative.
He holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance from Ca’Foscari University of Venice.
